Roscommon Womens Network are hosting an exhibition of all our supports and services around the County at Gleesons Townhouse & Restaurant, The Square, Roscommon at 11am – 1pm on Friday 27th September. There will be information and specialists from each service and support available on the day to talk to you. E.g. Counselling, Family Therapy, Training Centre, MAB’s and many more… There will be information on our activation to employment initiative “The W.I.N.D.O.W. Project”. The first week of the RWN Charity Pop-Up has been a wonderful success! There is still plenty more to purchase, and we have been accepting new donations as they come in. After all the grey skies and rain we’ve been having lately, Saturday 6 July was thankfully clear, if not bright, over in Castlerea, just in time for the fourth annual Project Match Castlerea Family Sports Day. The community came together in a big way — as they always do — and, once again, Castlerea Community School (CSS) opened their pitch and facilities up for the day; CSS staff Yvonne Hanbury and John Foley were on hand during the day to assist where needed. Monday to Saturday 10am to 5pm, starting this Friday, the Roscommon Women’s Network Charity Pop-Up Shop is open in the Old Mill Dress Shop, Main Street, Castlerea. The RWN Charity Pop-Up Shop boasts a collection carefully curated from the donations we received through ‘Sort Out For Summer’ priced to go! Clothing for the whole family hangs side by side with accessories, handbags, bric a brac and a small mountain of cuddly toys. This year’s Project Match Castlerea Family Sports Day is almost upon us. In past years, the event has been a phenomenal success, and expectations are running high, after all, where else in the world would you get Boxing, Soccer, Gaelic Football, Hurling, Hip Hop Dance & Rugby all for kids, all on the same pitch at the same time! – Only in Castlerea!!! Project Match Castlerea and the local transition year students has identified a need in the community for a safe, drug and alcohol free social space for 16-24 year olds in the area. The idea was presented to the community and various local organisations at a youth-led conference on Tuesday 28 May, and our group of young leaders will be progressing to Youth Leadership training on June 13.
