There will be a Meet ‘n Train leaving RWN Centre leaving each Monday at 7pm. We will leave RWN and be guided by our leader Jennifer from Roscommon Sports Partnership. Everyone is welcome. Last Saturday, December 14th, Santa Claus came to the RWN Charity Shop. The weather was cold, wet and miserable, but it wasn’t long before all our hearts were warmed with a Christmasy glow. Children of all ages came to the grotto in the shop, and when the sky cleared from the rain, Lorraine, Jean and Santa took a walk through the town, spreading good cheer and smiles through the community.
RWN recently nominated our chairperson Tara Farrell to the board of the Roscommon Community Forum. We are delighted to announce that she was successful not only in achieving a seat on the Forum, but was also elected within to serve as Chairperson. With recent and upcoming changes in the funding and organisation of community development projects and also the reallocation of governance powers to local governments, it is more crucial than ever that strong advocates for grassroots community work step forward to ensure a seat at the table.
