Nora Fahy

Manager

Nora Fahy has been with Roscommon Women’s Network since 2007.  RWN along with 16 other local Women’s Community Development projects  (CDP’s) around the country amalgamated under the national body NCCWN now Women’s Collective Ireland (WCI) in 2012 and since then Nora is employed directly by WCI which is funded by the Department of Justice & Equality.  However, Nora’s has continued to work with the local RWN CLG Voluntary Board to identify needs and develop supports and services for women and families throughout the county. Working hand in hand with the local WCI Roscommon Advisory Committee and the RWN local Voluntary Board of Directors, Nora brings a business management background to the Community Development mandate of RWN and WCI Roscommon.  She was the first paid member of staff when the project started in 2007 and was instrumental in the set-up, evolution and growth of RWN into the thriving grassroots women-centred social enterprise that it is today employing 4.5 RWN staff and 1.5 WCI Roscommon Staff.

Laura Bachvarova

Project Worker/Finance Administrator

Laura joined RWN team in 2020 and has an office administrator diploma and more then 13 years experience in a banking industry. Laura is employed directly by WCI which is funded by the Department of Justice & Equality.

Martina Hourigan

Progression and Skills Innovation Coordinator

Martina joined RWN in 2019 as the training coordinator for the Upcycling Textiles Training Pilot Project and has a background in media production and has a degree in Business, Enterprise and Community Development. As the CycleUp Textiles Progression and Skills Innovation Coordinator, Martina engages in women’s community development work to facilitate and support the development, capacity building and training of women into flexible paid employment opportunities in the Circular Economy. This work particularly focuses on supporting individuals in gaining hands on work experience in the CycleUp Textiles production studio facilitating progression into secure employment as product creators and/or into self-employment. Martina firmly believes in the importance of grass-roots driven initiatives spearheaded by women, with a robust environmental impact for the sustainability of rural Ireland’s future.

James is an indispensable part of the RWN Training Centre team. He is the Training Co-ordinator.  James delivers the QQI level 4 & 5 Information Processing, Level 4 & 5 Retail Practices and Level 4 Employability skills.

Ann Marie is our a new Assistant Training Co-ordinator. Delivering the QQI Level 5 Healthcare Support course. Annmarie is an experienced Healthcare practitioner with years of experience in the Nursing and Patient care

Development Worker

Áine joined the RWN team in May 2023. She is employed directly by WCI Roscommon which is funded by the Department of Justice & Equality. As a Development Worker, Áine works with grassroots women around the county, bringing groups together for community education and intercultural projects and signposting to other existing services.

Charity Shop Team of Volunteers

Just a few of our volunteers, our unsung heroes, who keep the shop open Monday to Friday 10am to 5pm and Saturdays 11am to 4pm.  Thank you all so very much for your ongoing support.  Volunteering a few hours a week of your time means we can keep the RWN lights on! The shop is also a safe, kind, friendly place to come for a chat and a cuppa, but be warned: you probably will get a job to do while you are chatting!

Lorraine Campbell

Seek & Safety Peer Worker

Lorraine Campbell has been involved with RWN since it opened its doors in 2008.  She is currently the Project Worker for the Seeking Safety HSE pilot treatment program which supports women who have experienced PTSD, trauma, addiction, gender-based violence and/or mental health challenges.  The program can be done in group or 1-1 sessions.  To find out more, call in strict confidence.
